Hey guys:)
Not much activity in wow lately, and i guess it's even less here on forum but still - check this out:

http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20111111-0

basically it says that this weekend there will be a huge beta test to see server capabilities etc.
Hope some of you signed in already? If not, there's still a way to get beta code through sites mentioned in that article.

Well if anyone reads this and indeed going to try SW - post something so we can group up on some server
or something

cheers:)

I am considering wheter or not I should try SWTOR out. I barely have any time to spare on gaming nowadays, but still... yargh!

Nice to see you here btw. Guess the lack of activity has to do something with the status of the game. Thinking that the servers will be crowded once 4.3 goes live and people are starting to make their ways out from Skyrim. I won't be doing any beta playing or what so ever though.

Then, there's another choice to make... what side should I support? Jedi Republic or Sith Empire..?.

Nice post as well!

Hey Dwayne!

Dark side tempting indeed is

but nah, think i'm going for a smuggler:) so Republic it is I guess:)

Have no time too tbh, but definitelly going to try it this weekend:)

As for WoW, sure 4.3 will bring some life to it, but then again - for how long? I guess everyone feel that uhm...breaking point or something.. it just became kinda pointless all of a sudden.. I mean 7 years and it's still good, yeah.. just very stale:)

Then again here's Bioware and I trust them:)
It looks Pve - story oriented which is ok for me, but ofc there will be Pvp.

All in all it it have a big potential to be great:)

hey! If theres anyone alive that is
heres few screenshots i made and i'll post some text a bit later
but in general - YES! OH YES I'M GONNA PLAY THAT GAME!!
so my first choice was

and I did

that would totally be my cathphrase!

thats moral light/dark side system in work

you know where anger leads in the end, right? (pale face, scars and red-yellow eyes, correct! you can hide those changes in options though)

but i ended up with blind miraluka jedi knight (ain't she perfectly chubby aswell? chose slimer body later though, lore wise)

that droid was like "hey baby, you have such a beautiful .. uhm..eyes"

yay! my first lightsaber

yay! my second lightsaber!

yes, there are noams! you can't roll them though, only work for them... or kick a couple lil sobs

mmm.. twi'lek dancer girls... show me your lekku and I'll show you mine

DAT ASS! (add "dat ass" face)

When you’re out at a club and you see a fly girl DO THE CREEP! haaaaa... DO THE CREEP ! haaaaa

Hey Dwayne:)
Glad you liked it!

Ok so as i promised - some text:)

First of all, IMHO the game is awesome!
I played 2 characters to about 13th lvl ( 50 is max), saw 2 starting locations and Coruscant (will be a questing zone for10-15 lv). Started with smuggler then tried jedi knight and get back to smuggler, which will be my main prolly.

There are 4 classes each of them with 2 advanced classes with 3 specs each - once you chose advanced class, you won't be able to change it, but ofc you can respec in those 3 trees. So basically it's 8 classes withmixed archetypes (some of which are suprising:) like tanking rogueish jedi shadow or healer scoundrel with stealth )

Didn't really tried but saw jedi consulars - those guys have great fighting animation and force use animation as well (throwing shit with force at opponents hell yeah!)

Leveling was smooth and addictive as it can be! As you might know, each class have a general storyline - core of the story, and alots of side/bonus missions too. Quests are fun and gripping - you won't want to skip em at all cus all of them have dialogues, voice acting, have moral choice that can change the story (not sure to which limits though:) As a republic player you can fall further and further into dark side - with visual changes and gearing and i think story outcomes too. Same goes for imperials.

- Party questing if fun too - you actually roll for the right to answer with your groupmates, get social point for chosing same dialogue choices and it really breathes some life into questing:) like when you'd pick a light side choice and your groupmate picks dark and wins:)

- bonus and side missions are very neatly implemented - you just get bonus missions as you explore and kill stuff and side missions quest givers placed smartly - you can kill 50 Black Sun operatives at some base but you really wouldn't feel like you was forced to do it

- Dungeons - called Flashpoints here - only tried 1, lvl 10 Esseless - story driven with many dialogues. Was quite enjoyable, easy though, but thats entering level dungeon so it's fine..

- Raids - yup, there are raids and world raid bosses

- Companions - pretty fresh and cool feature:) You get about 5 for each class - and run with 1 at a time. They have storylines, quests, can be romantically involved with you, have affection bars. You can gear em up - like any playable character. And if you don't have enough ppl in grp - you can use your companion.

- Crafting is fun! theres a bunch of professions , and the coolest thing about them is that your companions do all the work - crew skills and shit:) You kinda give orders for crafting, lose your companion for a few minutes and can do whatever you like meanwhile

Hylo! I know you've been here 5 hours ago! How are you guys doing?

Ok, back to the Swtor:)

(Guess it's only me and Dwayne here actually, but well:))

- PVP - I joined 1 bg, called Huttball at 10 lvl or something - all players get the same Bg lvl or something (in 10-19 20-29 brackets etc i guess), just as it was in Warhammer online, which is a plus. Bg itself is a lot of fun - you're not only killing enemy players, you're actually playing a passing ball game - with tricks, passes , heroic sacrifices , etc.
Was about 15 mins long, left a good aftertaste, and had interesting "mark players you like" system in the end.
Need to test more, but I believe it will be a good PVP content for PVEish mmo:)

One fun fact - absolutelly out of blue I met my former raid leader from Warhammer online there:) and raids in Warhammer are PVP raids. So this guy, he's basically a "warlord" and I remember he had no problems leadin 1-2 warbands (about 50 pps) in WAR. So he is all PVP oriented and he liked that game and will be playing it too, so I believe PVP will be fine.

- Graphics - overall game looks good. I like gear and character design, like location designs (though some part of it looks kinda lonelly - to much of a space, too little npcs... it definitelly lacks that cosy feel of warcraft .. then again it's space Character have that old school Kotor games and maybe even Clone Wars series touch wich is ok.
"Extras" npc have simplified textures and looks so- so but they're extras

Well and to conclude - things I didn't like

- UI - right now it's kinda big, and worst of it - almost not customisable (or however you spell it:) - Think that will be fixed with launch... if not, then addons for sure.. so we'll have to wait to see

- Character customisation - is ok, but could be better. There are about 10 races, but they're all basically humanoids - with some racial differences ofc. I'm gonna play human/ miraluka at best so i guess it's not that bad too:)
Body types - really good idea (cus we're all tired of clones, right?) but it's only 4 body types for both sexes available atm (no idea if they will ever change it cus it's a core thing but who knows) and they're all kinda weird
1 - is a joke - you basically get an anorexic teenager with a big head (good for a couple of races though)
2 - considered normal, but is kinda thin too - will be a majority i guess
3 - hunks, males looks ok if you're going for super hero's looks, females looks uhm ... uhm... like males:) - not a fan but ok
4 - chubsters, females looks good - curves and stuff:) Males look like cartoonish bankers and capitalists (if they will give you a top hat and a monocle - I'm in!) - best body type imho tbh:) looks fun and definitelly won't be mainstream (put on hipster glasses)\
so they really lack "normal" normal body type tbh.. but not a big deal

well that's about it:)
as you can see pluses are way overrun minuses, and though i have no idea how it will be in end game content, leveling would be totally enjoyable.

oops, forgot about one interesting feature - gear modifications
basically you have some gear pieces with 3-4 different mods slots in em wich you can remove and upgrade and change to whatever purpose you like. You can see that i'm wearing some weird looking lace gloves - basically a "social gear" (you can purchase whole set, looks nice) and a hat (which is hidden) and they just have mods in them (gems alike). That way you can upgrade green item to epic level if you get epic mods ofc.
