Dear Guildies !

We are now starting to use the EPGP Loot system, so we can make sure the loot is distributed according to the effort someone puts into raiding with us !

First things first :

The addon can be downloaded here on the official page, or also here on Curse.com , if you feel more comfortable with that source.

You do not really need to setup anything for it to work, the whole configuration and other settings will be done by the management (officers and me), the addon is just your best way to track your current EPGP status in-game (we will also offer a possibility to check it online, more about this in near future).
AGAIN, TO EMPHASIZE IT : Members only need to download and extract the EPGP addon into their Addons folder so they have a very comfortable way to track the status of each members (including themselves) ! There is NOTHING to setup/configure for you members, and you won't need any other addon ! Raid Loot Addon is for Raidleaders/Masterlooters only !

Officers/Raidleaders will shortly receive a dedicated Tutorial about how points are awarded, what they need to take care of etc ...
Also, Raidleaders are from now on required to use the Raid Roll Addon available here so they can easily distribute loot without having to run maths in their head tongue

Here's to more fair loot distribution and finally a good reason for people to attend to raids and be on time smile

Stay tuned for a more in-depth article about how you will be earning EPGPs, what is going to have an impact, how being inactive for a long period will affect your points and yet not make you loose all chances at loot etc etc ...

So long, Hylander

For those interested this new loot system is based on Effort Points (EP) and Gear Points (GP) hence the name EPGP. What this means is that your loot priority is based on your EP and GP values, to be more precise you can calculate your loot priority (PR) from EP / GP. You start off with a base EP value and this can increase by being on time for raids, being prepared for raids, etc. This means that if you are late, signed but no show, repeatedly go afk during raids, etc, your EP value will be penalized. As for your GP you have a base GP value that increases as you win more loot. Therefore making this a rather fair loot system, in other words the more you show up for raids, the higher your PR value will be and the more you win loot the lower your PR will be. Thus the more active you are in raiding the more likely you will win the particular loot you want.

With that said i am assuming we are still rolling on offspec loot and how will this work for partly guild/pug raids?

Lol, so much for enticing me with more info on the webpage. I could have just asked my boyfriend... (Except he hasn't answered the three times, so far, I've asked! =.=.)

Hylander, I am very disappointed in you. Your post was just propaganda for me to get more add-ons. Not working! xP. XD.

Also, it seems Thrones even answered our burning question. What the heck is this PR Hylander keeps mentioning but has been hush, hush on answering. huh?. (Or the two times I Have seen it get asked.) I guess I have secrets/answers for my guildies now. huh?. :>.

Finally, Thrones poses the question I'd have too if I had my answers before I checked here (the one about PUG groups). (I blame Thrones!) Especially since I'm only interested in ICC25 and so far we've only managed to PUG it. o.o. ICC10 bores me (even though I haven't downed the Lich King on 10). lol.

As a different aside, at this moment in time, I can't believe Hunters and Paladins are in demand in our guild. Paladins (and DKs) and Hunters, to an extent, seem so popular, I'd thought they'd already be nicely represented.

Update: Omg, the surprised faces are so cute. >w<.

@ PuGs : currently we're not planning on using EPGP on PuGs. It works aswell, all you need to do is simply make a roll first, and if the winner is from with the guild, you apply the EPGP rules as if there hadn't been any Puggies, but as i said, currently 25man runs with puggies are excempt from EPGP (we're only going to start awarding points even there).

@ PR / secrecy : huh ? what exactly is being kept "secret" or not talked about ? oO
and again : the addon "necessity" is for raid leaders only (one raid leader in the raid needs to have the addon, and the master looter, should he be different from the raid leader, aswell).
Nobody else _needs_ the addon ... it's just much easier to know about your current EPGP status if you have the addon ... that's it. Besides, the addon is not "visible" unless you want it to be (by clicking on it's minimap icon or whatever) ... it's not a UI addon.

@ Open Application priorities : considering that out of 10 guild runs, only 2-3 include a hunter/paladin , the necessity is definitely given ... the priority is not based on the amount of members of a certain class within our guild, but on the attendance regularity of these members ... what good are 50 pallies in a guild if none of them ever shows up to the raids?

*Pet, pet Hylander.* Don't get so worked up. I'm just teasing you about all your addons. I read where you said I can (*someday*) check my EPGP online. tongue.

It's just that everytime the guild asks what PR stands for, you haven't given us a response. Thus, I have answers for them the next time they ask. XD.

And it's just that statistically with more paladins and DKs (or insert whatevers, we should have more of them in our guild, leading to a better chance of them showing up. And before you say anything, shush. You're too defensive (and it doesn't need further explaining because it's probably just you and me reading this XD). xP.
